For a trip without driving, first distinguish airport shuttle buses, regular local buses, the Shiretoko Line and seasonal sightseeing buses crossing several areas. Kushiro Airport: Identify the destination first

The following prices, times and versions are based on operator information checked 2026-10-28. Kushiro Station and the Lake Akan Bus Center are different destinations. Even though both journeys begin at the airport, journey times alone cannot be used to compare fares or choose a route.

The 1,200 yen figure is the adult one-way fare between the airport and Kushiro Station. 75 to 80 minutes refers instead to the airport-to-Lake Akan Bus Center journey. Since the start and end points differ, they cannot be combined into the price or journey time of one comprehensive transport ticket across Eastern Hokkaido.

Shiretoko Line: Summer and winter are different

Akan Bus’s official sightseeing bus information lists a route following Kushiro → Akan → Mashu → Utoro. Products of this type run during announced operating periods and have a different use from regular daily bus routes.
