The Beppu Hells tour () is a well-known sightseeing route in Beppu covering seven hot spring attractions called “hells.” The official operator sells a combined admission ticket for viewing these sites. Opening hours

All seven hells are open 8:00 to 17:00, year-round.

Combined admission ticket

The official page says the same combined admission ticket is used for all seven hells, with the following prices effective from 1 February 2025:

Visitors with disabilities (individual) 1,200 yen 600 yen
Visitors with disabilities (group) 1,000 yen 500 yen
  • Validity: the date of purchase and the next day, a total of 2 days. The purchase date is stamped on the ticket.
  • Only one entry to each hell is permitted.
  • Reselling the combined admission ticket is prohibited, regardless of purpose.
  • Group tickets are sold only at Umi Jigoku or Chinoike Jigoku.
  • Visitors using disability certificates must present them when purchasing tickets.
  • The official page does not list individual hell admission prices, so this article does not compare single-site and combined tickets.

Planning a visit

  • Because the ticket is valid for two days, the seven hells can be split across two days, but each can be visited only once.
  • All have the same opening hours, closing at 17:00; allow enough time.
  • The official page does not give visiting durations, transport or parking information for individual hells. Consult the Hells Association’s official website or Beppu City’s tourism information.

Checks before departure

  1. Confirm that the prices are still current (this page uses information checked on 2026-10-28).
  2. If visiting over two days, remember that validity is the purchase date plus the following day.
  3. Groups seeking the group price should buy tickets at Umi Jigoku or Chinoike Jigoku.
